·      Located 1610kms ENE of Sydney, 1456 ESE Brisbane, 1063 NNW of Auckland NZ


·      Size:  5km x 8kms with an area of 3855ha


·      Approximate population of 1800 citizens


·      Subtropical climate, average annual rainfall 1328mm


·      Summer temperatures average from 24 to 28degrees during the day and nights 19-21degrees


·      Winter Temperatures average from 19-21degrees during the day and nights above 12 degrees


·      There is a time difference of 1 1/2 hrs ahead of AEST, no daylight saving means only 1/2 hr ahead  in summer


·      Discovered by Captain Cook in 1774, Norfolk is rich in history & culture, from 2 brutal penal settlements , the Bounty Mutineers, to the arrival of the Pitcairn people resulting in todays culture


·      Tourism forms the main basis of Norfolks economy


·      Over 30 different local service & social clubs
